1. Will I still need to scoop Amazing® Crystals?
Amazing® Crystals do not clump upon exposure to urine. Amazing® Crystals users only need to regularly remove and dispose of solid waste in the trash and rake crystals to maintain freshness. The non-clumping absorbency of the crystals eliminates the need for daily scooping of wet clumps created by urination.

2. Can Amazing® cat litter be used with an automatic litter box?
Only the ScoopFree™ automatic litter box is designed to use Amazing® Crystals.

3. How should I dispose of Amazing® cat litter? Is it okay to flush it down the toilet?
Used litter and solid waste should only be disposed of in the trash. We do not recommend flushing any cat litter down the toilet.

Encouraging your cat to use an indoor litter box,or properly disposing of outdoor cat feces,is beneficial to overall water quality. Please do not flush cat litter in toilets or dispose of it outdoors in gutters or storm drains.

4. Can Amazing® cat litter be used to provide traction on snow and ice?
We do not recommend using cat litter as a traction aid on snow-covered ground. Scoopable litters, in particular, are slippery when wet and very difficult to remove from a wet cement surface.

5. Can Amazing® cat litter be used to soak up motor oil?
We also do not recommend using cat litter to absorb motor oil. Amazing® litter products are only intended for use as cat litters and for other small animals.

6. Is it unsafe for pregnant women to handle unused cat litter?
Unused cat litter is safe for handling by pregnant women. However, pregnant women should avoid handling used cat litter. Toxoplasmosis, an illness characterized by cold or flu-like symptoms, can be transmitted by cat feces. It is especially serious in pregnant women because it can cause birth defects. Immunosuppressed persons may also be susceptible to toxoplasmosis. For further information, consult your doctor.

7. Is Amazing® Cat Litter safe for animals other than cats?
Amazing® Cat Litter is not recommended for use with dogs, rabbits, ferrets or any pets other than cats.

8. Is Amazing® Cat Litter harmful to cats or other animals if ingested?
Amazing® Cat Litter is not known to cause harm to animals, including kittens, when ingested in small amounts. However, if a pet eats a large amount of any litter (e.g., a bowlful), we recommend that you consult a veterinarian.

9. Is Amazing® Cat Litter biodegradable?
No. Amazing® Crystals are not biodegradable, but are compatible with most landfill requirements.

10. Is Amazing® Cat Litter flammable or combustible?
No. Amazing® Cat Litter products are not flammable or combustible in any way.

11. I've heard news reports that say products containing crystalline silica are unsafe. Are Amazing® Crystals safe for my cat?
Yes, Amazing® Crystals are safe for your cat. Amazing® Crystals do not contain crystalline silica within scientific detection limits. Silica gel is a safe substance most commonly used to absorb excess moisture in flowers and food or to protect materials such as leather or computer equipment from humidity.

12. Are there any human health concerns for people who come in contact with Amazing® Crystals?
While there are no health risks associated with unused Amazing® Crystals, pregnant women and immunosuppressed persons should avoid handling any kind of used litter. Toxoplasmosis, an illness characterized by cold or flu-like symptoms, can be transmitted by cat feces. It is especially serious in pregnant women because it can cause birth defects. For further information, consult your doctor.

13. The litter I purchased seems dusty. Is it okay to use?
While we take a number of precautions to minimize dust in our cat litter product, once the product leaves our warehouses we cannot control the handling or storage methods used by others. Rough handling could further break up the crystal particles and contribute to dust problems. Some packages may seem dustier than others. Both are fine to use.

14. Why doesn't Amazing® Crystals clump like other cat litters?
Amazing® Crystals is made of silica gel. It is not a clay litter, and therefore does not clump.

15. Why do Amazing® Crystals change color during use?
It's normal for the white crystals to change color due to exposure to yellow urine. You don't need to remove these crystals; they are simply doing their job.

16. What should I do if my cat won't use Amazing® Crystals?
If you've recently switched to Amazing® Crystals, your cat may need a little time to adjust--this is the case with any litter. You can make the transition easier for your cat by mixing one part Amazing® Crystals to one part old litter for the first a week. After one week, empty the box completely and refill with only Amazing® Crystals.

17. Do you have a Material Safety Data Sheet?
You can find the Amazing Cat Litter Material Safety Data Sheet here. Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™ should automatically open. If it doesn't you may need to download Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™ here.
